DRONE STRIKE – Explosions Rock Russia’s Rostov Region As Air Defences Open Fire

This is the moment a Ukrainian drone flies over people’s heads as they film from the street of a Russian town before a loud explosion is heard after it purportedly got struck by Russian air defences.

The incident took place in the settlement of Matveyev Kurgan in Rostov Oblast, southern Russia, on Thursday, 9th October.

Regional governor Yuriy Slyusar said three drones were destroyed during the air attack.

He added that several residential buildings suffered shattered windows, damaged facades, and torn roofs, while five cars were also hit.

Local media reported that the drones appeared to target an oil depot, and the video shows thick black smoke rising above the area.

Gunfire can be heard in the background of the footage, along with panicked voices.

Authorities said there were no reports of casualties, and information about possible victims was still being verified.
