This is the moment USS Gerald R. Ford conducts flight operations during Operation Epic Fury in what US Central Command said was the “largest regional concentration of American military firepower in a generation”.
The images were reportedly filmed on 15th March and were obtained from the US Department of Defense on 16th March, with US Central Command (CENTCOM) saying in a statement: “USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) conducts flight operations in support of Operation Epic Fury March 15, 2026.”
CENTCOM said the footage was filmed by the US Navy and added: “Operation Epic Fury involves the largest regional concentration of American military firepower in a generation.”
The video shows fighter jets taking off and landing on the flight deck of USS Gerald R. Ford, with the captain seen talking to his crew over the ship’s speaker system and instructing them to “do the right thing” and to “keep each other’s spirits up”.

Operation Epic Fury is a US-led military campaign launched on 28th February against Iranian military infrastructure and forces, involving strikes on targets across the country, with the US targeting Tehran’s missile and defence capabilities.
The conflict has prompted strong Iranian retaliation with missile and drone attacks on regional bases and allied forces.
