This is the purported moment Russian mobile anti-aircraft units destroy Ukrainian reconnaissance and heavy strike drones.
The incident took place near the town of Orikhiv, in Zaporizhzhia region, south-eastern Ukraine, according to a statement obtained from the Russian Ministry of Defence on 26th February.
According to the ministry, mobile anti-aircraft units from the 58th Combined Arms Army, part of the Dnepr group of forces, are providing round-the-clock cover for formations and military units against Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance and strike assets in the area.
The ministry said Ukrainian forces have been using reconnaissance and attack unmanned aerial vehicles to strike Russian units along the front line and to target infrastructure in the region.
It stated that air observation posts identified the flight paths of night-time hexacopters, after which mobile anti-aircraft teams set up ambush positions.

Gunners engaged the drones using heavy machine guns fitted with television sights, mounted on vehicles equipped with turrets, as well as small arms.
Footage released by the Russian Ministry of Defence shows the mobile units tracking and opening fire on aerial targets, with what it described as objective control images confirming the destruction of the drones.
The claims and the footage could not be independently verified.
