Recently released footage appears to show US forces making good on their vow to destroy Iranian military capability, with missiles and precision-guided bombs striking mobile missile launchers wherever they are hiding, including one at the mouth of a tunnel, another under a motorway bridge and a third concealed beneath a tree.
The images were obtained from US Central Command (CENTCOM) on 10th March and show a number of semi-hidden vehicles, reportedly Iranian missile launchers, being hit in large explosions as part of Operation Epic Fury, the ongoing US-led attack on Iran.
In the footage, one launcher appears to be concealed at the mouth of a tunnel before it is struck, while another is shown hidden under a motorway bridge in an apparent attempt to avoid detection. A third launcher can be seen concealed beneath a tree, only to be hit seconds later.
The footage appears to underline CENTCOM’s warning that Iranian missile units will be targeted wherever they are found, even when hidden in terrain or infrastructure intended to shield them from view.
CENTCOM said: “The Iranian regime can try to hide their missile launchers, but US forces won’t stop looking. When we find them, we’re taking them out.”
Operation Epic Fury is a large-scale military campaign launched on 28th February by the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
