The footage shows smoke rising from the city, with images then cutting to a column of Russian war machines attempting to advance across the battlefield when they are hit by Ukrainian ordnance.
The video, apparently filmed by a drone, shows a number of Russian war machines on fire after being hit, with the Ukrainian side apparently forcing the remaining Russian war machines to turn around.
The video shows Russian soldiers abandoning their vehicles and fleeing in the opposite direction under heavy fire as the footage ends.
The images were obtained from the United Assault Brigade ‘Liut’ of the National Police of Ukraine on Wednesday, 22nd May, along with a statement saying: “The Chasiv Yar ‘Lut’ is working — the ground is burning under the enemy!
“The occupiers are not giving up their attempts to capture Chasiv Yar and take control of the city.
“Recently, in the best traditions of Soviet ‘generals’, the enemy sent a large number of personnel and equipment on a ‘meat assault’ of the city.
“However, the fighters of the National Police’s ‘Lut’ unit, together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, made titanic efforts and shattered all the occupiers’ hopes for success!
“The defence continues!
“We all stand guard over the peace and tranquillity of our country!
“The video shows the destruction of Russian occupiers’ equipment and personnel.”
The images and statement were also relayed by the National Police of Ukraine.
