Russia Says Its Artillery Units Destroyed Ukrainian Positions Using Krasnopol High-Precision Shells

Russia has said that its artillery units have destroyed Ukrainian positions using Krasnopol high-precision shells.

The footage purports to show Ukrainian positions being hit by Russian ordnance.

Images filmed by drones also show Russian UAVs dropping bombs on Ukrainian trenches and buildings.

The video also purports to show Russian and Ukrainian infantry engaging in close combat when the Ukrainian side is suddenly hit by Russian ordnance.

A number of Ukrainian war machines also appear to be shown being hit, with the footage then cutting to images filmed on the ground, apparently by a Russian soldier, showing some of the devastation on the battlefield.

The video also purports to show the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers and a Russian soldier unfurling a red, white and blue flag after having apparently taken a position.

The images were obtained from the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) on Friday, 24th May, along with a statement claiming (in): “The footage shows how artillery units launch precise strikes, including Krasnopol high-precision shells, at the AFU [Armed Forces of Ukraine] strongholds on the outskirts and on the territory of Kleshcheyevka.

“The work of FPV drone operators who eliminated a group of AFU militants while attempting to hide in the basement of the destroyed building was also shown.

“The UAV camera recorded the Russian assault group engaging in close combat with AFU militants, eliminating them and capturing a dugout in Kleshcheyevka, as well as the bodies of AFU soldiers abandoned on the battlefield during the retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from a populated area.

“The video also captures the moment when the State Flag of Russia and a copy of the Victory Banner were unfurled in the settlement.” (sic)

We have not been able to independently verify the claims or the footage.
