Israel has said that its warplanes have hit Hezbollah infrastructure and headquarters in Lebanon, as these images purport to show.
The footage shows a number of targets being hit by Israeli ordnance.
The images were obtained from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on the evening of Tuesday, 21st November, along with a statement saying: “IDF warplanes attacked terrorist infrastructures and an operational headquarters of the terrorist organisation Hezbollah in Lebanon in response to launches towards the territory of the State of Israel during the day.”
We have not been able to independently verify the claims or the footage.
The Israel-Hamas war is now entering its 47th day, after the deadliest attack on Israel by Hamas on 7th October left 1,200 Israelis dead.
Israel has since retaliated with airstrikes on Gaza and a ground invasion.
Some Palestinian health officials say they have lost the ability to count the dead due to the collapse of Gaza’s health infrastructure and the difficulty of recovering bodies from areas where Israeli forces are active.
But the Palestinian government’s media office has put the estimated number of dead at over 14,128.
Israel and Hamas have agreed to a four-day ceasefire that will see 50 Israeli women and children held hostage since 7th October released in exchange for 150 jailed Palestinians, also women and children.
Israel will also allow hundreds of aid trucks to cross the Rafah border with Egypt daily, according to Hamas.
Israel will also stop air sorties in southern Gaza and restrict them to six hours a day in the north, still according to Hamas.
The agreement, announced early today, on Wednesday, 22nd November, reportedly puts the war on hold after six weeks of fighting.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the hostage deal was “the result of tireless diplomacy and relentless effort across the Department and broader United States government.”
He added: “While this deal marks significant progress, we will not rest as long as Hamas continues to hold hostages in Gaza.”
