Russia has said that it has taken out Ukrainian positions in the Kherson region using T-90M Proryv tanks.
The footage shows a Russian tank manoeuvring through a forested area before repeatedly opening fire from a field as the images cut to explosions, apparently the Ukrainian positions being hit.
The images then cut to a Russian soldier talking to the camera in front of a tank in a forested area.
The images were obtained from the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) on Wednesday, 22nd May, along with a statement claiming: “Accurate strikes against enemy positions behind Dnieper River over 5 km away.”
The Russian MoD added: “Tank crews of Airborne Troops destroyed the temporary deployment and control points of AFU UAVs in Kherson region.
“UAV units detected temporary deployment points with personnel and UAV control in dilapidated houses. The position data were relayed to the ‘winged infantry’ tank crews. The T-90M Proryv tanks destroyed the targets with accurate strikes.”
