Ukrainian Destroys Russian Armoured Fighting Vehicle Hidden Under Trees

These images show a Ukrainian drone destroying a Russian armoured fighting vehicle that was hidden under some trees.

The footage shows the Russian war machine hidden under some trees in a forested area before the Ukrainian drone can be seen honing in on its target and hitting it.

The images then cut to another drone filming the Russian war machine being hit and destroyed.

The images were obtained from the Combined Tactical Group ‘Adam’ of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Wednesday, 13th September, along with a statement saying: “The enemy MTLB tried to hide from our FPV drones – it didn’t work.”

The images were also relayed by the Office of Strategic Communications (StratCom) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Thursday, 14th September, along with a statement saying: “Fighters of Tactical Group ‘Adam’ book turned the MTLB of the occupiers into junk.”

Russia invaded Ukraine on 24th February 2022 in what the Kremlin is still calling a “special military operation”. Today marks the 568th day of the full-scale war.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between 24th February 2022 and 14th September 2023, Russia had lost about 270,970 personnel, 4,599 tanks, 8,810 armoured combat vehicles, 5,944 artillery units, 769 multiple launch rocket systems, 517 air defence systems, 315 warplanes, 316 helicopters, 4,697 drones, 1,455 cruise missiles, 20 warships, 1 submarine, 8,458 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, and 889 units of special equipment.

Russia has claimed that its casualties have been much lower but provides infrequent updates on its latest figures.

Ukrainian military intelligence official Andriy Yusov has said that two Russian Navy vessels, including a large warship and a submarine, have been damaged, likely beyond repair, in Ukraine’s largest attack yet on the Kremlin’s Black Sea fleet in the port of Sevastopol in occupied Crimea.

The Russian Ministry of Defence said that Ukraine had attacked a Black Sea shipyard with 10 cruise missiles and three unmanned speedboats and had wounded 24 people.

Oleksandr Kubrakov, Ukraine’s Minister of Infrastructure, has said that over 100 Ukrainian port infrastructure facilities have been damaged by Russian attacks since 18th July.

He added that Ukrainian grain exports had fallen by nearly three million tonnes per month since 18th July.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un reportedly invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to his country during their meeting in Russia.

Putin has reportedly accepted the offer.

The North Korean leader has reportedly offered the Russian president his support for Russia’s “sacred fight” against Western powers.

The talks took place at a space base in Russia’s Far East.

The US State Department said that it would not hesitate to impose further sanctions on both Russia and North Korea if they set up new arms deals.

Russia’s Defence Minister, Sergei Shoigu, has said that his forces were carrying out “active defence” against Ukraine’s counteroffensive and that Moscow had no other option than to win.

Shoigu said that the autumn campaign was now underway and acknowledged that the situation on the frontlines was difficult in some places.

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has said that the European Union, which currently consists of 27 members, needs to prepare to grow to more than 30 members in coming years, with Ukraine, Moldova, and countries in the Balkans seeking membership.
