These images reportedly show Ukrainian forces taking out two Russian Uragan multiple rocket launcher vehicles.
The footage was obtained from the 28th Mechanized Brigade – also known as the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign – of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Wednesday, 13th July, along with a short statement saying: “Two less of the enemy’s ‘Uragans’.
“The orcs attack Mykolaiv and the region with salvos from these ‘Uragan’ systems. From now on there will be less shelling. Glory to Ukraine!”
The footage was also relayed by the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The BM-27 Uragan is a self-propelled multiple rocket launcher vehicle that was originally built in the Soviet Union.
Russia invaded Ukraine on 24th February in what the Kremlin is calling a “special military operation”. Today marks the 141st day of the invasion.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between 24th February and 14th July, Russia had lost about 37,870 personnel, 1,667 tanks, 3,852 armoured combat vehicles, 840 artillery units, 247 multiple launch rocket systems, 109 air defence systems, 219 warplanes, 188 helicopters, 681 drones, 155 cruise missiles, 15 warships, 2,720 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, and 67 units of special equipment.
Turkey, Ukraine, Russia and the United Nations have concluded a deal to resume exporting Ukrainian grain, with a monitoring and coordination centre being set up in Istanbul.
A traffic jam made up of more than 130 cargo ships that are loaded with Ukrainian grain is waiting in the Black Sea to pass into the Danube River.
