Russian Pilots Allegedly Struck Ukrainian Military Positions Using Unguided Rockets With ‘Su-25’ Fighter Jets

This footage purportedly shows Russian war pilots carrying out an aerial strike on camouflaged Ukrainian positions with unguided aviation rockets.

The alleged attack was carried out by pilots aboard ‘Su-25’ fighter jets in the Donetsk Region, in eastern Ukraine.

The images were obtained by Clipzilla from the Russian Ministry of Defence, along with the statement: “The crews of assault aviation on ‘Su-25’ aircraft carried out a strike with unguided aviation rockets on camouflaged enemy equipment and personnel in the Donetsk direction.

“The strike was guided by forward aviation spotters.

“To prevent the enemy’s launch of anti-aircraft missiles, the crews executed the ‘snake’ manoeuvre with simultaneous release of decoy heat targets.

“Afterwards, they returned to the base aerodrome. According to the report from the forward aviation spotters, the target was successfully hit.”

A ‘Su-25’ pilot with the call sign “Sniper” was quoted as saying: “During the execution of the combat mission, a concentration of enemy forces was detected. The task was set to destroy it.

“We prepared for a repeat sortie, took off, gained altitude, reached the turning point, approached the target. Launched unguided aviation rockets from a climb, performed anti-missile manoeuvres, and withdrew from the target.

“Ground-based forward aviation spotters informed us that the target was hit. And thanked us for the work. Victory will be ours!”
