Ukrainian Fighters Destroy Russian Military Equipment On The Frontlines

This is the moment Ukrainian battlefronts with Russian military vehicles are engulfed in flames.

The footage shows the Ukrainian drone capturing the burning Russian armoured vehicles on the frontlines in Ukraine.

The images were obtained from the 68th Separate Hunting Brigade named after Oleksy Dovbusha on Saturday, 26th August, along with a statement claiming: “We are mercilessly burning the armoured vehicles of the occupiers. Whoever comes to us with fire will die by fire!”

The footage was also relayed by the Office for Strategic Communications (StratCom) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, along with a statement saying: “Occupants’ armoured vehicles are on fire due to accurate fire from the fighters of the 68th separate Oleksa Dovbush Ranger Brigade.”

Russia invaded Ukraine on 24th February 2022 in what the Kremlin is still calling a “special military operation”. Today marks the 551st day of the full-scale war.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between 24th February 2022 and 28th August 2023, Russia had lost about 261,310 personnel, 4,400 tanks, 8,562 armoured combat vehicles, 5,425 artillery units, 7,30 multiple launch rocket systems, 499 air defence systems, 315 warplanes, 316 helicopters, 4,383 drones, 1,415 cruise missiles, 18 warships, 7,866 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, and 809 units of special equipment.

Ukrainian authorities have initiated an inquiry following a midair collision between two military aircraft in the western region of the country, resulting in the tragic loss of three pilots.

Notably, one of these pilots, Andriy “Juice” Pilshchykov, had visited Washington DC last summer to engage with members of the US Congress and advocate for the procurement of F-16 fighter planes.

Volodimir Zelenskyy said: “Yesterday, a disaster occurred in the sky over Zhytomyr region. Three pilots died. Among them was Andriy Pilshchykov, call sign Juice. He was a Ukrainian officer, one of those who helped our country a lot. A lot! My condolences to the family and friends, to everyone who knew the guys.

“The investigation into what happened is ongoing. It’s too early to talk about the details. Of course, all the circumstances will be clarified. Of course, Ukraine will never forget anyone who defended Ukraine’s free sky.

“May they always be remembered!”

The Russian defence ministry announced that it dispatched a fighter plane in reaction to a US Air Force reconnaissance drone flying over the Black Sea.

The Tass news agency reported that the drone did not violate Russia’s state border.

Ukraine’s President Zelenskiy is open to the idea of holding national elections during wartime, provided international partners cover the costs, legislators approve, and citizens have access to polling stations.

This response follows comments from US Senator Lindsey Graham, who praised Ukraine’s war effort but encouraged demonstrating their commitment by conducting elections during this time.
