The footage shows the attack drone honing in on its target before hitting it and causing an explosion.

The images were obtained from the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilinskyi of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Friday, 22nd December, along with a statement saying: “A Russian trailer mounted gun is successfully destroyed by the operator of a RubPAK Owl attack drone from the Mykolaiv Marines.”

Russia invaded Ukraine on 24th February 2022 in what the Kremlin is still calling a “special military operation.” Today marks the 667th day of the full-scale war.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between 24th February 2022 and 22nd December 2023. Russia had lost approximately 351,350 personnel, 5,837 tanks, 10,843 armoured combat vehicles, 8,250 artillery units, 932 multiple launch rocket systems, 611 air defence systems, 324 warplanes, 324 helicopters, 6,365 drones, 1,613 cruise missiles, 22 warships, 1 submarine, 10,944 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, and 1,217 units of special equipment.

In Ukraine’s city of Toretsk, in the Donetsk region, Russian bombs have targeted two coal mines, resulting in three civilian fatalities and a minimum of five injuries.

The Ukrainian Interior Minister reported a power outage in one mine, with the successful rescue of 32 miners, while the other mine suffered damage to administrative structures and equipment, leading to two fatalities and three injuries.

Ukraine’s parliament has sanctioned the medicinal use of cannabis, permitting its use for conditions such as PTSD in military personnel.

While recreational cannabis remains prohibited, the new legislation, effective in six months. Allows cannabis for scientific and industrial purposes, subject to stringent controls on production and distribution necessitating a doctor’s prescription.
