This is the moment Ukrainian forces storm and clear a Russian trench and engage enemy soldiers in close combat, forcing them to surrender.
The footage shows a first Russian position being hit before the images cut to FPV-style footage of Ukrainian soldiers storming it and taking it.
The video then cuts to drone images shot from above showing the Ukrainian troops running along the destroyed tree line between two fields as they retake their land.
The images show a drone flying overhead, presumably to scout out what lies before them.
Suddenly a firefight breaks out between the Ukrainian soldiers and the remaining Russian soldiers, with a number of explosions and smoke quickly filling the air as they take cover and engage the enemy.
They quickly storm a shallow trench, opening fire with their assault rifles and forcing the Russian soldiers to surrender.
The footage then cuts to the drone again flying overhead and showing the Ukrainian soldiers securing the trench.
Russian soldiers are seen surrendering to the Ukrainian soldiers with their hands raised above their heads.
The video then shows the Ukrainian soldiers continuing to take another segment of the trench amidst large explosions.
The images were obtained from the 63rd Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Tuesday, 30th April, along with a statement saying: “The best defence is attack! Our soldiers not only defend themselves but also powerfully storm enemy positions.
“This video shows the capture of the Katsap trenches and several prisoners. Intelligence and infantry of the 23rd separate rifle battalion as part of the 63rd brigade is working.”
