Ukrainian Special Forces Blow Up Russian Surface-To-Air Missile System In Huge Explosion

These images show Ukrainian Special Forces blowing up a Russian surface-to-air missile system in a huge explosion using a kamikaze drone.

The footage shows two of the Russian war machines positioned near a treeline when the Ukrainian drone hits, causing an initial explosion.

The images then appear to show the machine’s ordnance exploding, with Russian soldiers seen trying to put out the blaze with a hose.

They are unsuccessful and it eventually detonates in a larger explosion.

The images were obtained from the Command of the Special Operations Forces (SSO) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Thursday, 2nd May, along with a statement saying: “The SSO destroyed a ‘Buk’ SAM [surface-to-air missile] system.

“Operators of one of the divisions of the SSO discovered the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system while working in the Sumy direction.

“On the targets, SSO operators inflicted fire damage with strike drones. The occupants tried in vain to put out the fire and save the equipment.

“As a result of the impact, the launcher with six rockets was destroyed, the firing system of the ‘Buk-M1’ system was damaged.”
