Israel Releases Footage Showing Commando Raiding Refugee Camp

These images reportedly show an Israeli commando raid in the north of the Al-Shati refugee camp in the Gaza Strip.

The first piece of footage shows soldiers working their way through an urban environment that has been left in ruins.

The Israeli soldiers can be seen making their way through the streets and going from building to building while opening fire on unseen targets.

They can also be seen conducting a raid inside a building as the footage ends.

The second piece of footage reportedly shows Israeli forces engaged in heavy combat in Gaza, using a tank and fighting inside buildings.

The first set of images was obtained from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on the evening of Thursday, 16th November, along with a statement saying: “Last week the fighters of the commando formation raided on foot in cooperation with armour, engineering and air support forces on the north of the Al-Shati camp, the most densely populated place the IDF has operated since the beginning of the fighting in Gaza.”

The second piece of footage was also obtained from the IDF yesterday evening, along with a statement saying: “At the same time, the fighters raided a hotel in Mulched in the north of the Gaza Strip, and found many stockpiles of weapons. The weapons were subsequently destroyed by IDF forces.”

We have not been able to independently verify the claims or the footage.

The Israel-Hamas war is now entering its 42nd day, after the deadliest attack on Israel by Hamas on 7th October left 1,200 Israelis dead, down from the 1,400 they had originally estimated.

Israel has since retaliated with airstrikes on Gaza and a ground invasion, with the Hamas-run Health Ministry in the enclave saying that at least 11,660 people had been killed and 32,000 injured.

Dozens of Israeli armoured vehicles have reportedly been seen surrounding the Ibn Sina Hospital complex in the occupied West Bank near the Jenin refugee camp.

A large deployment of Israeli forces have also raided the Jenin refugee camp, according to reports.

The Israeli military has said that it has retrieved the body of a soldier, Noa Marciano, who was being held captive by Hamas.

They said that her body was found in a building near the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza.

Hamas has said that she was killed in an Israeli airstrike on 9th November.

The UN World Food Programme (WFP) has warned that the Gaza Strip now faces a “massive” food shortage, with WFP executive director Cindy McCain saying that food and water supplies are “practically non-existent”.

She added that “civilians are facing the immediate possibility of starvation.”
