Ukrainian Forces Destroy Russian TOS-1A Solntsepyok Near Avdiivka

These images show how Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian TOS-1A Solntsepyok multiple rocket launcher capable of using thermobaric warheads.

The Russian Heavy Flamethrower System can be seen engulfed in flames on the battlefield before it erupts into a massive blast.

The images were obtained by Newsflash from the Ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Tuesday, 9th January, along with a statement saying: “Solntsepyok [destroyed] near Avdiivka.”

Russia invaded Ukraine on 24th February 2022 in what the Kremlin is still calling a “special military operation.” Today marks the 685th day of the full-scale war.
